LEAGUE FINALS GAME FORMAT

Afternoon Session:  Both B & A Class Finals will be played at the same time on different boards

B Class

Top 7 will qualify for B Class League Finals (Top 3 teams from B Class Group 1, Top 4 teams from B Class Group 2)

Double Knock-out (1 team BYE due to odd number of teams)

Top team from each group will face the bottom team from the opposing group

Second team from each group will face the second from the bottom team from the opposing group

The teams will be matched in reverse with the ranked teams from the other group

eg. Grp 1 1st vs Group 2 4th, Group 1 2nd vs Group 2 3rd, Group 1 3rd vs Group 2 2nd, Group 2 1st BYE first game

Doubles - 501 - Cr - Choice (OI-OO)

Singles - Count Up - Cr Count Up - Choice between CU & Cr CU

Singles - 501 - Cr - Choice (OI-OO)

Sets will be played in the above stated order and cannot be changed

*Winner of Loser pool to win Winner of Winner pool twice to claim Champion

A Class

Top 4 will qualify for A Class League Finals (Top 4 teams from the group standings)

Round Robin (each team will play each of the other team ONCE)

Doubles - 701 - Cr - Choice (OI-MO)

Singles - Count Up - Cr Count Up - Choice between CU & Cr CU

Singles - 501 - 501 - 501 (OI-MO)

Doubles - 701 - Cr - Choice (OI-MO)

Doubles - 501 - 501 - 501 (Team Freeze Rule DI-DO)

Evening Session: C, BB & GM Class will be played at the same time on different boards

C Class

Top 8 teams will qualify (Top 4 from Group 1 and Top 4 from Group 2 will qualify for C Class Finals)

Double Knock Out

Top team from each group will face the bottom team from the opposing group

Second team from each group will face the second from the bottom team from the opposing group

The teams will be matched in reverse with the ranked teams from the other group

FOR ALL ROUND ROBIN GAMES:

Top 2 proceed to grand finals for play for champion and 2nd place

Bottom 2 proceed to play for 3rd place

** All confirmed teams for the finals will be announced once all the games scoresheets have been submitted

** NOTE that there will be NO MVP for this league finals as stated in our registration forms.

** Phoenix reserves the right to make changes to the format, timing of the events prior to the league finals date if necessary.  Teams will be informed

** Any other missing details or game format or options will follow the league format for the class indicated.  Eg Rules for coin toss for C Class, Corking for rest of the classes to decide who starts.
